General Summary/basic PURPOSE OF JOB:
- The Nurse Practitioner, in collaboration with the physician provides medical care and treatment for patients in the office under a Sinai physician’s care.
- She/he works within the collaborative practice agreement as agreed by the nurse practitioner and the designated physician(s).
- The nurse practitioner is responsible for assessment and treatment.
- The nurse practitioner will participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement.
- Emphasize health promotion, maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of acute & chronic diseases.
Reporting Relationships:
- Reports to: Family Practice Chairman
- Provides Supervision to:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- Degree - Nurse Practitioner
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience in an outpatient clinical based practice.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- verbal, writing and interpersonal communication skills.
- leadership and organization skills.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
- State of Illinois Nursing License.
- Advanced Practice License.
