General Summary/basic PURPOSE OF JOB:
- The Certified Bariatric Nurse (CBN) coordinator of the bariatric surgery program is responsible, under the leadership of the bariatric surgeon, for the administrative and operational direction of the Bariatric Surgery Program. The CBN provides vision and action in designing and maintaining an effective and efficient service delivery team.
- Responsibilities include overseeing, planning, and directing the bariatric surgery program. Utilizes clinical and social service experts as needed to ensure delivery of comprehensive patient care
- These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, in accordance with the mission, values and behaviors of the hospital. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and guests.
