GENERAL SUMMARY/BASIC PURPOSE OF JOB:

Supervise the clinical and technical operations of Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, EP, and Nursing. Coordinate the services provided with other departments, hospital personnel, and medical staff to meet the needs of the patients of the Sinai Health System. Orients new employees to clinical procedures. Educates physicians, nurses, caregivers, and other health care workers with Interventional Radiology and Nursing responsibilities.

  • Provides direct patient care
  • Fulfills all obligations in establishing accreditation for areas of responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge with all rules and regulations that impact areas of responsibility. Main focus IDPDH, TJC, Nursing Standards, and Sinai Health System guidelines.
  • Provides direct assistance to patients, physicians, visitors, and fellow caregivers. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

  • Associates degree from an American Medical Association approved course in Radiologic
  • Technology Associates degree from American Medical Association approved in Nursing

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Five (5) years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Nurse is required
  • Successful experience in training others is required
  • Successful experience in maintaining supply costs, managing charge master and billing

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Licensure as a Nurse or Radiologic Technologist by the State of Illinois and ARRT certification required BLS; ACLS if Nurse
