The Nurse Educator is a professional nurse who provides consultation to nursing personnel and conducts and coordinates educational experiences. The responsibilities encompass assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical skills development, in-services and continuing education programs at the Unit and/or Department level.  Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to: developing structure and process to improve clinical and organizational outcomes; supporting continuous regulatory readiness; quality improvement; support the Nurse Residency Program; and leading evidence-based Nursing clinical practice.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • BSN Required, Master’s degree in Nursing or higher preferred.
  • 2 or more years of clinical experience in an Acute Care setting with experience in education preferred. 
  • Background in Critical Care experience preferred.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with valid IL license
  • BLS / ACLS certification
