What is the most important thing that you do? Knowing that I am actually able to help save a life. I don't have the stomach and the gaud to be able to operate on a person, but if I can give the doctors, nurses, EVS, and other caregivers the access they need, so they can access our systems, I feel like I helped save a life.
Anthony Pratt, IS Site Manager and Help Desk Manager/Sinai Holy Cross Hospital
What do you love most about working at Sinai? What I love the most about working here is the team work! We work with x-ray techs, the doctors, but even though we all have our different positions, we work together as one unit. We deal with a lot of sick patients who have cardiac issues and helping them diagnose and fix their issues is rewarding. I started as a new grad nurse here, I definitely learned the foundations. Don't doubt yourself, be confident.
Alvin Uy, Registered Nurse, Cath Lab, Mount Sinai Hospital
What is the most important thing that you do? Especially now during the global pandemic, our patients are forced to fight this battle alone, due to the hospital restrictions on visitors. So not only am I able to play the role of a medical professional and their nurse at the bedside, I also play the role of their family member which is very rewarding and it means so much to our patients on a whole other level.
Lobna Rabadi, BSN, RN, PCCN, AA-SANE, Emergency Department & Talemetry at Holy Cross Hospital
How is Sinai Chicago personal to you? It's a big community here! I see the same people when I come in for work every day, different departments but it takes all of us to do the work here. Everybody's job and everybody's role is important and that's how we make sure that the patients are going to be able to get better, get out of the hospital and return to the community.
Ann Beougher, Physical Therapist, Acute Care Therapy Department Lead
